Planning

With the Bullock Smithy pencilled in for September and a few other events, including Charnwood, Corvedale and the Across Wales walk also on the agenda, I thought that it must be time to draw up some sort of training plan. Adapting a plan that I’ve used before I’ve got all my walks sorted from now…

Jan 30 – Blogging

Not totally happy with the blogging platform that I’ve used for years (on and off) I have been experimenting with a few alternatives. One of the most popular is WordPress but when using the free, bundled hosting, certain things don’t work, namely my endomondo totals which I want to be displayed on the top of…

Jan 27 – Prison

Due to a number of things, my long Saturday walk was done on Friday (LINK) and my Friday rest was taken on Saturday. To complete the week, the schedule had nine miles for today.   I fancied something a little different but didn’t want to travel too far. I had a quick play on the plotaroute…

From this point, I followed the River Cole crossing the Coventry Road near Asda. The path hugged the side of the Cole all…

Jan 13 – Taking Stock

Only a short, three mile walk this morning. Nice and easy Water Orton loop. On my return, after a quick freshen up, I sit down and take stock of what I’ve achieved this year thus far. In just two weeks, I have … Walked 91 Miles Lost 2kg  Returned to parkrun I also feel fitter…

Jan 9 – Not Much Happening

Nothing special today.  The ‘usual’ two miles into work. Finishing work, I was awarding with a bit of a sunset moment which soon disappeared as I turned onto the canal. The two miles back to Saltley pushed today’s mileage to four miles and the total for 2019 now standing at 62 (Devon).
