It’s wet out there

I was up early, thanks to the dogs so took the puppies for a mile and a half each before returning for breakfast.

I planned on walking home from work but instead of taking the car; walking home; walking to work tomorrow and then fighting with the traffic bringing the car home, I decided to take the bus and just walk home on both days.

After work, I changed and headed out of the door just as it started to rain. By the time I’d walk a quarter of a mile to the canal, it was hammering it down. Not knowing how long it would last, I just carried on quickly becoming rather soggy.

I continued along the Grand Union, up a couple of locks passing a couple of ducks who were just standing there. “This is just the weather for YOU!” I thought as I walked on by.

I continued along a fairly regular route leaving the canal to follow the River Cole before having to go urban and hit the streets.

The rain largely stopped after the initial downpour but not enough to thoroughly dry out.
