Firstly, I must admit that I have not been out anywhere as much as I should have.
I have been out with the dogs every day and have been walking them together which has , in effect, halved my daily mileage. Also no big walks – not even to The Griffin as it’s been closed more than it’s been open 🙁
So I’ve decided that it’s time to get back into shape (or at least a different, less rounded, shape) and start to up the mileage. I took the plunge and climbed onto the bathroom scales to be told that I was currently 96kg.
Today, I took the dogs out one at a time so easily managed to double my mileage, clocking top a healthy four miles.
|# WALK 1000 MILES in 2020|
With the uncertainty over the Coronavirus situation, there are no definite events for the near future although I did receives an email recently saying that my place in the 2021 A Coventry Way (ACW) was confirmed. If all goes well, I could be setting off from Meriden on the 11th April for a forty mile stroll around Coventry.
Glancing at the LDWA events pages reveals lots of events but nearly all cancelled 🙁
So at the moment, I’ll aim towards the ACW in April. I’m using the Ultra Ladies 50 miles training plan that I have used before and find suits me.
It comprises two hard weeks then an easier week, the usual back-to-back weekends and the other longish walk on a Wednesday. We are currently on week 1 so a longish (it will be considering my recent achievements) walk tomorrow.
The mileage will probably be higher as even on the “–” days, I’ll still be walking the dogs.
