Coming to a walker near you …

Looking at the upcoming section of this blog, last week, I thought that it was looking a bit sparse so I had a look around to see what events I could enter.

I had a look back at what I’d done before and decided that I’d enjoyed and would like to do again …

  • Charnwood Marathon
  • A Coventry Way
  • Rotary Across Wales Walk

Charnwood Marathon in March is open for entries so I’ll need to send a cheque (remember those) to the organisers.

Coventry, in April, is already full. I’m thirty something on the waiting list. I was on the waiting list this year and was called a few days beforehand to see if I was still interested. Of course I was.

The Rotary Across Wales Walk‘s entries open in January. This was a toughie so I have something to prove this year – note to self, use poles on those hills!

So that’s the long walks sorted. Now for a few shorter, dog friendly walks/ runs.

Most parkrun events allow dogs so we’ll give a few of those a go, starting with Sutton on the 26th October. Sutton is a single lap on wide paths so we should be able to go at our own speed without inconveniencing other participants or park users.

Canicross Midlands

At the beginning of November, down the M6 in Daventry, is a proper canicross event. I’ve signed up for this – our first proper cani event.
