Earlier in the week I managed a brisk six miler walking from work to meet the other half as she left work. I was on a tight deadline so walked the most direct route via Alum Rock.
Friday, I finished work before catching the bus to Chelmsley Wood. From Chembo, I took a foot path dipping under the M6 and taking me to Coleshill.
From Coleshill, I dropped down to cross the Blythe then traversed Maxstoke Golf Course. I walked through Dumble Wood and headed towards Shawbury before cutting across fields to Daw Mill Lane from where it was only a short stroll uphill to The Griffin.
