I was up a little early this morning so got of the bus at about the half way point and nipped into the twenty four hour Tesco at The Fox and Goose to get provisions for work.
Exiting Tesco, I was still ahead of schedule so decided to walk the four miles to work instead of the planned two plus two.
I continued along the Washwood Heath Road, past Ward End Park then turned down Aston Church Road.
As I approached the famous Taroni scrapyard, I saw this sign and as I passed I was expecting to see a big burly fellow looking for a fight !
I continued my journey, noticing a DIY road sign for Henry Taroni Avenue. Looking at a map, later, I noticed that there is, in fact, no Henry Taroni Avenue.
Proper D.I.Y. !
From Aston Church Road, I walked down a long flight of steps to the canal (the usual canal) which I followed to work arriving at my normal time.
After walking all of my daily mileage, I treated myself to a bus ride home via ASDA at Chelmsley Wood for some fresh veg.
After swapping my longish mid-week walk to Wednesday, I have thirteen miles to cover tomorrow – two in the morning and the rest after work.
