Again, I took the bus into Birmingham, alighting at Saltley a mile or so from work.
From the bus stop, I made my way to the Grand Union canal which I followed towards Bordesley, climbing five locks in the process.
I arrived at work just as my watch buzzed for two miles.
After work, I retraced my steps to the Grand Union canal. I managed about a mile before it got too dark and I had to pull the head torch from my backpack to light the way.
It was proper dark by the time I reached Star City and passed under the elevated section of the M6 at the (in)famous Spaghetti Junction.
At this point, I switched to the Birmingham Fazeley canal for another mile or so until I got to Bromford Lane.
I left the canal at this point and walked alongside the busy road until I reached the Bromford estate where my walk finished.
I checked my watch which registered 4.5 miles as I waited for a bus to take me on the final leg of my journey home.
Four days into my thousand miles and already twenty seven down.
May take it easy tomorrow with a mile walk to and from work.
