Thursday’s run was a pretty uneventful run though Parkfields and back – a nice steady 4 miles.
Friday, I was up early to take some of the grandchildren to school. Glancing at my watch, I noticed a text standing me down from school run duties.
I made a few calculations and after consulting the charts decided to catch a lift to Wolverhampton with my other half and take a walk from there.
Knowing that I would be passing Go Outdoors in Wolverhampton, I ordered a new pair of walking trousers which, I was assured, would be ready for collection.
The walk went well and when I got to Bilston Road, left the canal behind and made my way to Go Outdoors to pick up my trousers.
Guess what? They couldn’t find them !
Empty handed, I got back on the canal and made my way to Tipton, passing through the 329m long Coseley Tunnel, clocking up nearly 10 miles.
I caught the train into Birmingham and then the bus back home.
