Railway Walks

I grabbed a lift to the north of Wolverhampton for today’s walk. I had decided to walk from Tettenhall, along a disused railway to Woodside near Dudley – a walk of around 11 miles.
The first part of the walk follows the South Staffordshire Railway Walk as far as Pensnett, where a footpath meanders past a landfill site and a number of equally smelly scrapyards before becoming the Pensnett Railway Walk.

My walk ended at The Buckpool and Fens Pool Nature Reserve, some 11 miles and 2:34 hours after leaving Tettenhall. A short, slower, cool-down walk took me to the bus stop for the first of 3 buses that would take me home.
