Books and Chocolate
After a spot of home maintenance, I caught the bus into Birmingham for a walk out to Moseley to meet Sue from work.
I chose to walk along the Worcester canal almost to Kings Norton then get onto the Rea Valley Way back towards Cannon Hill Park.
Walking across Brum, I stopped off in Millennium Square to take a few photos, including this one of the ‘new’ library. The ‘old’ library from the 60’s is currently being demolished to make way for some offices.
From Millennium Square, I nipped through the ICC and onto the towpath at Brindley Place.
Today’s route I have often done from Moseley into Birmingham but rarely this way round.
After four miles I was in Bournville, home to Cadbury’s. A couple more snaps and then onward, crossing over the canal at Lifford before leaving the canal for the river.
On the outskirts of Cannon Hill Park, I left the tranquility of the River Rea for the streets of Moseley, arriving at my destination some 8.3 miles and 1 hour 52 minutes after setting off.
Well, that was an easy start to the week. I’ve now walked 7 days in a row so I’ll treat myself to a rest day tomorrow.
