I managed the ‘usual’ 4 miles at work this morning before going home to my bed.
I also received a text saying that my package would be delivered between 11:11 and 12:11. I went to bed expecting to be awoken at some point and saw duly raised from my slumber around 11:30. The nice man from DPD handed me a box and off he went. Off I went, as well – back to bed.
I had a quick look in the box when I awoke but only to confirm that it was, indeed, my rucksack.
At work, I had a proper look at the Raidlight Ultra Olmo 20. The 20 denotes that it has a capacity of 20 litre split into many compartments. The main compartment will hold my usual gear, including…
- First Aid Kit
- Emergency Blanket
- Toilet Paper
- Compass
- Whistle
- Torch
There are two large mesh pockets on the back where I’ll try stashing waterproofs.
From the front waist pocket, a headphone lead runs up to the top. I’ve added a micro USB lead so that I can charge my phone / mp3 from a battery pack inside the main compartment.
I’ll try it out on my early morning walk around work, adjusting the position of bit and pieces, I dare say. I’ll give it a proper workout on Friday when I do The Wolverhampton Ring.
