Another Wet One

Nothing special today.

Got my usual lift to Moseley and walked back home.

Oh, and it was raining.

Bottom half, running leggings and trail shoes. Top half, technical long sleeve top and Goretex jacket. It was around ten degrees with a breeze so I reckoned that I wouldn’t overheat – I didn’t.

The usual route along the Cole Valley, leaving it at Shard End; through Castle Bromwich and home; just over nine miles.

A quick tidy up then off for a few hours shut eye in preparation for three night shifts.

I’m not aiming on walking too many miles this week ahead of the fifty mile, Rowbothans Round Rotherham challenge walk on Saturday.

I also have a place in Sunday’s Birmingham Half Marathon. To get the legs used to running, I may do a few short jogs this week on the way home from work.

Rest day Friday when I’ll be driving to Rotherham.
